Three double rooms in independant Canarian-style bungalow, in a 35.000m2 property, a couple of minutes away from the San Juan Beach and the fishing village, Caleta de Famara, in the midst of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park, at the seafront, with direct access to the sea. Each bungalow has a bedroom, a salon with direct sea view, bath, and 2 terraces . Attractive site and modern comfort: the site is built in the island´s traditional architecture, offering modern comfort and sobriety.

The panoramic living room

Our living room has large windows that offer a great panoramic view out into the sea, the Graciosa Isle, the Famara Cliffs, with plenty of light filling all its corners. This salon is always open, and our guests can have cold or hot drinks, and a wifi internet connection.

Nature lovers can find the key aspects of rural tourism: Tracking through a protected natural area, fishing on the rocks by the sea, discovery of nature, culture and typical food of the Canary Islands.

The Red Mojo

This mojo is popular served vith tasty and substancial meals such as roast kid or pork, offals, fried or grilled fish, and, as a classic combination, with papas arrugadas ( canarian crinkled potatoes).

Recipe for 8 persons

Preparation

• Preparation: 10 mn
• Without cooking

Ingredients

• 5 hot, dried red peppers
• 2-4 cloves organic garlic (acording to taste)
• Cumin seeds
• 1 cup olive oil
• 1/3 cup wine vinegar
• Sea salt
• Paprika

Method

Soak the peppers in water overnight. The next day remove the seeds and core and boil for three minutes in the water used for soaking Ground pepper, garlic, cumin seeds and sea salt using a pestle and mortar.
Stirring constantly with a wodden spoon, gradually add the water used for soaking, the olive oil and the wine vinegar. Bind the mixture with some paprika.
If you use a mixer, bind the ingredients with the water used for soaking and gradually add the olive oil and vinegar afterwards.

Wine of the day : Bodega Timanfaya

This little winery is located in the interior of a lava mantle, in Mácher (Tías). The volcanic cave was for years the birthplace of great home wines for exclusive family use. Nowadays the winery has a production of5,000 litres, although it has a capacity of50,000 litres. The king of the winery is the red known as tinto barrica, though the white, rosé and sweet wines are no less worthy.

Re-opening of the Casa de la Cultura en Arrecife.

After 12 long years of closure.

The Casa de la Cultura reopen his doors after 12 years closed. The official re-opening was for September 21th with the presence of the artist, Luis Tabenca. The house is now open for the public.
